After reading these lines, COD Community quickly concluded that by ‘Premium’, Activision meant a full-fledged new Call of Duty game would be released in 2023. This is an interesting claim, as Activision has just released Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, which has become the biggest CoD launch ever. In addition, Warzone 2.0 will also be released on 16th November. And it would be unrealistic to expect a whole new game just next year. However, no one can say anything solid, and anything can happen if the studio wants. A debate raged about what Activision meant by ‘Premium’ Call of Duty in their report. Some said that is just a lot of year-two content for MW2 and Warzone 2.0. In contrast, some were firm believers that it is a new Call of Duty game coming in 2023. Well, after a little back and forth within the community, reputable journalist Jason Schreier made some very clear points to calm the situation down.
The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024Next year, there will be a Modern Warfare II “premium” (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer It’s supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that’s why they call it a “full” release. But it’s more MWII
— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) November 7, 2022 Interestingly these statements perfectly align with our previous reports about Activision working on premium year two content for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, which includes a premium DLC pack for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and possibly a new resurgence map for Warzone 2.0. It will be exciting to see how things unfold further; only time can tell what Activision has in store for the fans. So what are your thoughts about all this? Let us know in the comment section below.
