HP has announced two new Chromebooks for the entry-level and high-end customers. The HP Chromebook x360 14c is a premium consumer-grade laptop that boasts a 14-inch touchscreen. The screen to body ratio of the device is an astounding 88%, which, according to HP, is industry-leading. The design of the laptop is a showcase of elegance and class. The metallic finish gives it a beautiful yet sturdy look. The black keys of the keyboard contrast the “mineral sliver” finish of the palm rest area. The fingerprint scanner is located just beneath the arrow keys. It is a 2-in-1 convertible device that supports the USI pen, and it can be attached via a built-in magnetic dock. It gets a 10th gen Core i5 processor, Wifi 6, and 128GB of storage. Lastly, the I/O of the laptop includes two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, a headphone jack, a micro-SD card slot, and a volume rocker. There is also a “Webcam privacy switch” that electrically disables the camera. According to 9to5 Google, the pricing starts at $499 USD. The entry-level device called the Chromebook 11a comes with Intel Celeron processor 4GB memory and 32 GB storage. It starts at $219. Both of these devices will be available for purchase in June.
