If the answers to both of these questions are “yes,” then a new shared drive should be set up. You should set up many shared drives if the files are for different projects.
Changing ownership of a file or folder
You can make someone else the “owner” of a file or folder if you want them to be responsible for it. The file’s owner can remove it, restrict who can see it, and set who can access it.

You can change who owns a file or folder in Drive.
In the “Invite individuals” area, enter the new owner’s email address. Select the Save and Share option.
Transferring ownership to or from a non-Hampshire Google account
Some of us may have Google files that pertain to Hampshire that are “owned” by individual accounts. Having your Hampshire account serve as the legal owner of these things is a recommended action. While ownership transfers between Hampshire College accounts are permitted, no such transfers are permitted to or from accounts held at institutions outside of Hampshire College. The current remedy consists of downloading all of your files from your personal account to your PC and then re-uploading them while signed into your Hampshire account.
