Before the COVID pandemic, Kojima had outlined the plot for Death Stranding 2, but the outbreak of the virus forced him to completely rewrite the script, he said. When asked on stage at The Game Awards if he was working on anything besides Death Stranding 2, Kojima confirmed once again that he is. However, he could have been referring to Overdose, a cloud-based horror game that is rumored to be in development at Kojima Productions, when he said that his next game will “turn things around” and is basically “like a new medium.” This is a developing story, so check back later for more.
